Today I would like to share with you an Altered Matchbox made with the gorgeous Graphic 45 Secret Garden papers. This project was made during a workshop with the fabulously talented Gwen from The Stamp Pad in Saddleworth.
This photo is a bit rubbish, it was aimed to show how the sheet of paper with lots of small designs of stamps were cut up and used as accents on the piece.
This next picture shows how we cut a rose, ribbon and key from the patterned paper. These were then enamelled with Glossy accents and left to dry. This was then stuck to the left hand iside of the matchbook.
This is the 'drawer' of the matchbox. It was covered with papers from the range. We then carefully cut out the image of the little picking flowers in the garden. I then cut out a further piece of the Fence picture from another piece of the papers, and stood this in frount of the girl with a foam pad.
This is the finished project. The decoration on the top is a metal corner decoration which was painted in the same blue paint to coordinate with the project.
This is something which I don't normally do, but really enjoyed it. Must remember to do things for me more often :)
Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my creations.
