None Christmas

Hi There

Today I would like to share two non-Christmassy cards with you.

Both these cards are made on 7x5" card blanks.
The toppers are from LOTV, although I have stamped around the edges.
The paper is left over from a mini book I recently made at the Stamp Pad.

Gwen has stared to run a monthly 'Book Club'.

Get Well Soon

Hi There

Today I would like to share with you a card I made for my Godmother when she was poorly recently.
She was taken ill andadmitted to hospital in Scotland where she lives. I couldn't get there (about 5 hour car journey!) and I couldn't send flowers (as they are not allowed in the hospital). So I decided to send a card.

As usual recently, the card base is a 6x6" card blank.
I backed everything onto Pink Bazzill cardstock.
The papers are from the 'Heartfelt' paper pack from LOTV.
The topper is also from LOTV.
A small doily pops out from behind the image to make a pocket.
In the pocket is a tag cut with a Marianne Die.

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my creations.

Babies First Christmas

Hi There

Today I would like to share with you a couple of cards I have made for a Baby's first Christmas.

This first one is a 6x6" card blank
The papers are from Lili of the Valley 'Pastel Dreams' paper pad.
The image os from the LOTV Christmas Cuties XL Art Pad.
Clear gems from my stash.

This next card is a 7x5" card blank.
Again the papers are from LOTV Pastel Dreams Paper pad.
Once again the image is from the Christmas Cuties XL Art Pad.
Gems again from my stash.

I am finding that if I get papers to match an image it is helpful,
and quicker to make a couple of cards in the same colours.

Thanks for stopping by.

Another Christmas Card

Morning

Today I would like to share another card I have made using the Lili of the Valley XL Christmas Art Pads.
If you look at yesterdays post you will see that the two cards look kinda similar. This is because I am trying to make more that one card, as the bits and pieces all match colour wise. I am also hoping that this will help my mojo and the number of cards I make.

Again I have used a 6x6" card blank.
Blue cardstock embossed with 'Let it Snow' embossing folder.
Let it Snow grungy Christmas Messages.
Paper from 'Father Knows Best' paper pad.
Small brown gems in each corner.

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my creations.

Cutie Pie Challenge

Hi there

Today I would like to share with you a card I have made for this weeks Cutie Pie Challenge. This weeks theme is Buttons and Bows. As with my recent makes, this is again using a Hobby House Topper. I am really enjoying the process of making up cards with these at the moment as I haven't got the time to be stamping and colouring in.

This is a 6x6" card blank.
Everything is matted onto Kraft brown cardstock.
The background papers is actually Hobby House card in Snowflake Flurry and Check.
Around the topper I have stamped a snowflake stamp in Festive Berries Distress Ink.
I think this just takes away the starkness of the white topper.
I have added a red organza bow.
There are three small red buttons in the bottom right hand corner,
and one large red button in the top left hand corner.

I would like to enter this into this weeks Cutie Pie Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my creations.

Another Hobby House

Hi There

Yes I'm afraid its another Hobby House card from me today. For this card I have tried to go a bit more shabby vintage with this, but I'm not sure it has worked.

This is a 7x5" portrait white card blank.
The papers are from a Craft Emotions paper pad.
Everything has been matted onto Kraft cardstock.
There is some cream lace wrapped around the bottom layer.
I have added a cream doily in the top right hand corner.
A gem in each corner of the topper.
A small bow in the top right hand corner.

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my creations.

The topper is one by Elisabeth Bell from The Hobby House.

Hi There

Recently I have been playing with some Hobby House topper designs.

This is a 6x6" card blank.
The papers are from a set by Craft Emotions.
Everything has been matted onto Kraft cardstock.
The different sized mats were made possible by using my Perfect Layers tools.
(these have to be my favourite tool this year :) )
Three dark amber gems in the top right and bottom left corner finish the card off.

All the goodies to make this card were bought from The Stamp Pad.

I would like to enter this card into the Challenge over at Cute Card Thursday blog.

Little Boys!

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you two cards I have made for the younger boys in our life!
These are two of my favourite images from Elisabeth Bell, for Hobby House.

This first card is a 6x6" card base.
The papers are from First Edition Man Made.
The railway papers worked so well with this image of a little boy and his train set.
I matted the paper and image onto green then red bazzill card stock.
The Play and Story tickets are by Tim Holtz
What big boy didn't want to be train driver when he grew up??

The next card is also a 6x6" card base.
This time I have gone for kraft brown for my matting and layering.
The papers are from the Wellington Range
A nail head sticker in the corners and there we have another card.

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my creations.

Hobby House

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you two more cards I have made using the Hobby House toppers.I love using toppers when Mr Mojo has gone walkies or I need a card in a hurry and don't have time to sit and colour in.

This first card is a 6x6" card base.
This was cut from a 12x12" sheet of green Bazzill.
With the remainder of the sheet, I used it to mat and layer the topper and papers.
The papers came as a free gift in a magazine some time ago.
(I think they are from the Prima Botanical collection)
Some small gems and a quick understated card.
Ideal for a friend who is not well, or under the weather!

This next card is also a 6x6" card base cut from a 12x12" sheet of Bazzill.
The papers are from a Forever Friends new Baby stack.
Matted onto the same card stock as the base.
Some small gems in the corners and there you have it.

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my creations.

Another From me

Good Morning

Hopefully this post will be seen on Friday 30th May. I am off to the Great British Craft Show at Bolton today with a wonderful crafty friend. We are doing four workshops today, and hopefully learn lots of new fabby things.

My cards today are made using Hobby House toppers. As I have two boys I thought it would be an idea to make some for thier age group, Teenage boys are so difficult to make cards for.

This first card is a 6x6" card base.
I have used Red and Blue bazzil card stock for the matting and layering.
Three red pearls top left nad bottom right.
A Red button with natural twine threaded through.
And some knotted red ribbon finifh this card off.
Ideal for those boys you know who love speed!

This second card was made with a 7x5" card base.
Again I just stuck to Red and Blue card for matting and layering.
Three buttons at the top right hand corner.
One larger button with some more twine at the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by.

A card from me

Good Morning Bloggers

Again, I have been away for a while, sorry about that. Life has been hectic and then there was work! Anyway, things are on the up again. I start a new job next week, and I think this is going to be that strt of something wonderful.
I finished my old job on Tuesday so spent yesterday trying to find my mojo! I started off by using some Hobby House toppers and just making cards with them, then one thing led to another and before I knew it I had made some cards and a small 'Prom Book' ready for my friends Daughters prom!

So today I am going to showcase the last card I made yesterday.

I have used a 7x5" card blank.
The papers are some which I have had laying around for a while.
This is a Lili of the Valley Stamped image which has been coloured in with promarkers.
It was then die cut and then embossed and inked.
The flowers were die cut using a Marianne Die and then layered up.

I would like to enter this card into this weeks Cutie Pie Challenge,
and also this months challenge at Crafty Little Faries.

Thanks for stopping by.

A new challenge Entry

Hi There

Well, not quite so long between blog posts this time.

I have been struggling with my crafty mojo going walkies lately. SO I have been looking at lots of challenges online and seeing if anything could encourage my mojo to come home.

I will be entering this card into the Crafty Little Faries weekly challenge. The theme was Film or Song Title, I came up with Titanic, not sure if my card fits, but ther is a boat and two people in love.
Anyway here is my card.

This is a 6x6" square card blank.
The papers are from the Lili of the Valley Beach Bliss paper pad.
They were all matted onto Kraft brown card.
The topper is another from Lili of the Valley.
I tried to stay away from bling and flowers on this so that it could be given to a man.

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my creations.

Hi There

Well That was some break from blogging!

I had lots of things going on in life and decided to take a break from blogging for a week or so ! ! ! OK it was a little longer than that :)

Hopefully things are on the up now, and I should have more time to craft and even blog!

So to get me back into the crafting frame of mind I went 'back to basics'. Using some of those toppers  which I'm sure we all have sitting there feeling unloved. This one is one which I had stamped out and coloured in but then it sat in a pile waiting to be made into a card.

The image is from Lili of the Valley
The image has been coloured in with Promarkers.
It was die cut using Nesties Labels 2, then gently inked with Fired Brick distress Ink, whilst still in the die.
The papers come from the LOTV Candles and Cake Paper Pad.
The buttons in the top right and bottom left corners are, I think from Papermania, with Spots on them.
I hope this card has enough spots on it :)

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges :-
Crafty Sentiments - Spots or Dots
Crafty Little Fairies - Shopping (for a present)

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my creations.
