Orange Floral

 Good morning.

Today I would like to share this very vivid orange floral card.

This is a 7x5” scalloped card base.
The image is ‘Scented Blooms’ by Jane Gill for Woodware.
I stamped this onto white stamping card.
This was coloured using Cosmic Shimmer, shimmer shakers.
I put a little of the shimmer shaker onto my mat and added water to make a paint.
I used it quite thickly but you can water it down to make it paler.
I then die cut the image and the gold mirri base with Creative Expressions Double Pierced Rectangles.

Something New

 Good morning

At the weekend I went into my craft room to make my sons birthday card. I couldn’t decide where to start, so I decided to catalogue my spray inks/mists. I had bought some 4x4” books from Pink Pig for just this project. This lead to me getting some stencils out, and then pixie powders and shimmer shakers.

As you can see, this shows the true colour I will get, as this is not always the same as on the bottle.

For this page, I laid the stencil onto the page.
Then I sprinkled pixie powders onto the page, through the stencil, trying to keep the colours separate.
Then I sprayed with water, to make the powders burst.
As there is some powders left on the stencil, I then turned this over onto a black page.

This gives a different effect.

I then respirated the stencil with water and took another ‘print’.
Well there is no point wasting all that lovely colour!

Cat and Cake.

Good morning

I would like to share with you a cute cat card. This would be ideal for a birthday card, or just to say hello.

This is a 6x6” scalloped card.
The image is James and Cake from Lili of the Valley.
This was coloured in with my Spectrum Noir Classique alcohol markers.
The background was made using assorted pixie powders then cut to size.
The silver mirri card was die cut with the ‘Swirly leaf’ die.
This card is already for a sentiment to go on.

Thank You

Good Morning.

Today I would like to share with you a Thank You card. I don’t know about anyone else, but I have done a few of these lately.

For this card I trimmed a 7x 5” card down slightly.
I then die cut the Creative Expressions Leafy frame die out of gold card.
Then I trimmed the gold card to fit the card front.
The background is made from white card which added two shades of purple pixie powders,
Sprayed with water to make the powders burst.
I cut this down to go behind the leafy frame.
From the off cut of the Purple background, I die cut the flowers.
For the flowers I used CE Forget Me Not dies.
I then die cut some leafs from green card.
I then die cut the Thank You and the mat in purple and gold.

A Flower for mum.

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you another card.

For this card I  used a 6x6” scalloped card blank.
All the square layers were sat on my desk as they were the “waste” from the previous cards I have made.
I matted these and the topper onto silver mirri card.
The topper is a Lili of the Valley stamped image,
which I coloured with Spectrum Noir Classique alcohol markers.
I added a white organza ribbon and bow.

A Butterfly for Mum

Good Morning,

Today I would like to share with you another happy, sunny card.

This card is a 7x7” square card.
The gold mirri card was die cut using Sue Wilson Double Pierced Squares dies.
This is the waste from another die cut!
The background was white card, which had been coloured with Wisteria Chalk Polish and then
embossed through the Dotty Waves embossing folder.
I then coloured the embossed areas with Pale Pink Chalk polish.
The image is a Lili of the Valley Topper which was matted with gold mirri.
I then added a white organza ribbon and bow.

Pretty in Pink

 Good morning,

Today I would like to share with you another card I made recently.

For this card I again cut the card base using Sue Wilson Double Pierced Squares die.
The frame was cut with smaller squares dies from Blossom cardstock.
The background was coloured with Wisteria Matt Chalk Paint and then,
run through the Bubble Burst embossing folder.
I then coloured the embossed bubbles with Pale Pink Matt Chalk Polish.
The image is a Lili of the Valley topper, which has been edged with Wisteria chalk polish.
This was matted onto Blossom cardstock, again die cut with double Pierced Squares die.
I added 3 gems inn each corner.
The card is now ready for a sentiment to be added.

Sunshine Yellow

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you a card which makes me think of sunshine!

This is a 7x7” card.
I used Sue Wilson Double Pierced Squares dies to cut the card base.
I then used the next two dies down to cut the square frame from Custard Cardstock.
The background is white cardstock, which had been run through the Dotty Waves Embossing folder.
I then coloured the embossed areas with Custard Matt Chalk Polish.
The topper is from Lili of the Valley, this was matted onto Custard cardstock.
Both these layers were edged with Enchanted Gold metallic Polish.
I then added 3 gems in each corner.

Oh Dear!

Well that didn’t quite go to plan, I was intending to blog every couple of days, but unfortunately I caught COVID-19 and have been quite poorly for the last week or so! Anyway, I am feeling much better now, if very tired, so I am going to try to make some cards room the images I have been colouring in over the past few days.

For this card I used the outer die from the Creative Expressions ornate pierced rectangle die, and drew around it to get my base card.
I then coloured some card with Honeydew Matt Chalk polish.
I put this through the Diamond poinsettia embossing folder.
I then went over the embossing with custard Matt Chalk polish.
The image is a Lili of the Valley topper, which was die cut with the medium die from the set.
I then added three gems along the corners.
I like the bright, freshness of this card.
