Seasonal Cards

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you a few more seasonal cards.

This first card was made using the First Edition Desert Bloom paper stack. This time I have used the papers with the pinkish tones in them. This was very simply layered with burgandy card stock with some of the layers having the corners trimmed with a corner inverter punch. A length of burgandy satin ribbon was tied around the right hand side of one of the panels. A glitter sticker from the Simply Creative range was stuck to the top panel. As I couldn't find gems to match this colourway I simply used clear gems and coloured them with alcohol inks.

The card was made as an Easel card. The papers were taken from the Neighbourwood paper range. The stamp is a Clarity Stamp which was coloured by watercolouring with Marvey Le Plume pens. The white spots on the toadstools were then added using a white gel pen. The image was then die cut using nesties Labels 23 and then layered onto a piece of deep red cardstock. The stopper was made from beige card and the edges were punched using an EK Success border punch on both side of the card, this was attached using foam pads to raise it up off the card and help to stop the card from falling flat.

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my cards.

Difficult Looking card!

Hi There

Todays card is one which, when I first looked at it, thought it may take me a few weeks to do! ! However once you have mastered the masking technique it does become easier. I won't say really easy because then I will make a hugh mess of the next one!
This is the one I first did on a workshop at The Stamp Pad with the amazingly talented Gwen.
The first thing we did was to stamp the central postage stamp image (which was a Clarity Stamp), then mask this off and stamp other postage stamped images masking each one off as it had been done to prevent overlapping stamping. The we reversed the maske in that we cut out the central image so that we could stamp through the mask so it came out inside the postage stamp. then we inked the card with distress inks. Matted and layered paper and black cardstock and used a fabby inverted corner punch. A wrap of ribbon and the mounted onto mushroom grey pearly cardstock folded to give an A5 card.
Once I got into the stamping and masking I found it really thereputic and really enjoyed myself, UNTIL it came to putting the finishing black squares on! They are just 2mm square and come as a full sheet, of peel offs. This was fiddly and seemed to take forever. I just could not get them straight, difficult to hold even with tweezers, one craft thing I have decided I can live without.
Great card and so easily be altered for male or female,  young or old. Just tailor the images in the picture to the persons favourite hobby or pastime.

In the Swing of Autumn

Hi there

Well I have done another Autumn Card !
This time using the more traditional colours of Autumn. Browns, and creams with just a hint of sparkle.
The leaves are Silver peels offs which have been 'altered' using Stazon Inks. I really didn't like them at first, but when they had changed colour they looked great!
The verse is a Clarity Stamp from The Stamp Pad.
A simple yet elegant card, I hope!
