Lalliana Twinkle Toes

 Good morning,

Today I would like to share a card again made with Tracy Easson's Lallianna stamp.
For this I stamped the image in black ink and then coloured in with my Coloured pencils.

This is an 8x8" scalloped card blank.
The background paper was made using my gel plate and spray inks.
Both the square and Oval dies were from Creative Expressions Nobel collection.
The flowers were stamped in brown with a Heartfelt Creations stamp.
I then used the matching die to cut them out.
They have been shaped and inked in pink to match the card.
I then die cut some green foliage to go behind the flowers.
A ribbon, bow and some gems finish this off.

Thank you for stopping by.
I appreciate any comments you have on my creations.

Getting back to crafting

 Good morning all

Well I am, hopefully back on track after a couple of awful months. Having caught Covid in January, I have now been advised I have Long Covid, so everything is taking a bit longer. Added to that I had to reapply for my job, got made redundant, and applying for jobs. I currently have a temporary role working in the NHS, so at least there is a bit of hope on the horizon.

I have been playing with a stamp by the lovely Tracy Easson, Just a Girl and Her Imagination, called Lallianna Twinkle Toes.

This is a large card at 8x8"

The blue background was made using spray inks and my Gel plate.

I stamped Lillianna and coloured her in with my alcohol markers.

I then stamped some of the companion stamps in shades of green.

The silver frame is actually the waste off another die I cut out.

I matted my background onto silver mirri card.

Some gems in the corners finish it off.

Thank you for stopping by.

Glitter Stories

 Good morning

Today I would like to share with you a paper bag book I made from a subscription kit from Cal Summers. I love these kits and it gives my brain a rest, and allows me to craft along and not worry that it may not turn out. I always find the when you start with 6 paper bags and some 12x12 papers you can end up with something wonderful like this. All the tags in the book were cut from one of the 12x12 pages.

I hope you like this book. Its a little different to my card making.

Firework Burst.

Good morning.

Here is another of my Art Journal pages, using a stencil called Firework Burst.

To make this page, I placed the stencil down onto my page.
I then sprinkled various pixie powders onto the stencil.
I then sprayed water over the top.

I then flipped the stencil over to take a ‘print’ from the stencil.

This is the last ‘print’ I took from cleaning the stencil.
I love the way the colours change and become more muted the more prints I do.

Orange Floral

 Good morning.

Today I would like to share this very vivid orange floral card.

This is a 7x5” scalloped card base.
The image is ‘Scented Blooms’ by Jane Gill for Woodware.
I stamped this onto white stamping card.
This was coloured using Cosmic Shimmer, shimmer shakers.
I put a little of the shimmer shaker onto my mat and added water to make a paint.
I used it quite thickly but you can water it down to make it paler.
I then die cut the image and the gold mirri base with Creative Expressions Double Pierced Rectangles.

Playing again.

Good morning.

Want to share with you some more pictures from my time playing with inks and sprays.

For this I placed the stencil onto the page,
then I sprinkled Emerald pixie powders around the outer edge of the heart.
I then used Firework burst pixie powder on the rest of the stencil.
When I then sprayed with water this is the result.

I then sprayed the stencil again and turned it upside down onto a black page.
It amazes me that the green shows up as blue on this page,
Also not many of the colours from the firework powder doesn’t show on black.
These are ready for me to use as a background for another project.

Something New

 Good morning

At the weekend I went into my craft room to make my sons birthday card. I couldn’t decide where to start, so I decided to catalogue my spray inks/mists. I had bought some 4x4” books from Pink Pig for just this project. This lead to me getting some stencils out, and then pixie powders and shimmer shakers.

As you can see, this shows the true colour I will get, as this is not always the same as on the bottle.

For this page, I laid the stencil onto the page.
Then I sprinkled pixie powders onto the page, through the stencil, trying to keep the colours separate.
Then I sprayed with water, to make the powders burst.
As there is some powders left on the stencil, I then turned this over onto a black page.

This gives a different effect.

I then respirated the stencil with water and took another ‘print’.
Well there is no point wasting all that lovely colour!

Lili of the Valley Fairy

 Good Morning,

This card is so cute, I coloured the fairy in with pale pink wings and a lovely purple dress.

The silver mirri card was die cut with the Creative Expressions Ornate pierced rectangle die.
This behind this is a piece of white card I had coloured using the shaving foam technique.
The image was coloured in with Spectrum Noir Classique alcohol markers.
This was then die cut using the smaller Ornate rectangle die.
Before taking the image out of the die, I inked the image with pink Distress Ink,
I love the way inking in the die give a lovely white edge.

Thank You

Good Morning.

Today I would like to share with you a Thank You card. I don’t know about anyone else, but I have done a few of these lately.

For this card I trimmed a 7x 5” card down slightly.
I then die cut the Creative Expressions Leafy frame die out of gold card.
Then I trimmed the gold card to fit the card front.
The background is made from white card which added two shades of purple pixie powders,
Sprayed with water to make the powders burst.
I cut this down to go behind the leafy frame.
From the off cut of the Purple background, I die cut the flowers.
For the flowers I used CE Forget Me Not dies.
I then die cut some leafs from green card.
I then die cut the Thank You and the mat in purple and gold.

Oh Dear!

Well that didn’t quite go to plan, I was intending to blog every couple of days, but unfortunately I caught COVID-19 and have been quite poorly for the last week or so! Anyway, I am feeling much better now, if very tired, so I am going to try to make some cards room the images I have been colouring in over the past few days.

For this card I used the outer die from the Creative Expressions ornate pierced rectangle die, and drew around it to get my base card.
I then coloured some card with Honeydew Matt Chalk polish.
I put this through the Diamond poinsettia embossing folder.
I then went over the embossing with custard Matt Chalk polish.
The image is a Lili of the Valley topper, which was die cut with the medium die from the set.
I then added three gems along the corners.
I like the bright, freshness of this card.

Long Time, No See

Well it has been a long time since I posted on here. I have decided that I need to start creating and blogging again. Even if it just for my own mental health.

So today I am sharing with you a scrapbook page I made in celebration of the upcoming Chinese New Year!  Started off with a sheet of 12x12” black cardstock. I then used a sheet of red pearlescent card top.

I then used some red and white cardstock from The Stamp Pad which had Chinese dragons on. The pictures were matted onto white and then black card. In the bottom left hand corner is the title which I hand wrote in a gold pen, not very straight, but I need to use more of my own writing. In the top right hand corner I added a metal charm with gold ribbon.

I hope you like this page, I enjoyed making it.

Thank you for stopping by.
I appreciate any comments you have on my creations.
