Class cards

Good morning

Today I would like to share a couple of card with you which I made during a workshop at The Stamp Pad, Greenfield. The workshop was based around making 3 cards using just one paper stack to make them all.
The paper stack we used was Dreamcatcher from First Edition.

The first card is an A6 card blank which opens sideways. It was made with brown kraft card, we then used two complementary pink and white papers from the pack. The smaller mat was layered onto kraft brown. We then punched corcles and scalloped circles to put on the front. The ribbon at the bottom is actually a piece of cardstock which was embossed with Swiss Dots embossing folder and then folded to make the ribbon effect. The card was then embellished with three buttons and some pink gems.

The second card was made from a White DL card blank. For this card we simply took two complemtary pieces of the paper pad, pinched some pearl paper with a border punch and attached together, The flourish was cut with a Marianne die from silver Mirri card. The greeting is from a pack by Craftwork Cards which has been trimmed to size. The ribbon slider is also from Craftwork Cards, through this we threaded some purple ribbon. We then added three purple roses, two to the message and one on the ribbon slider.

For this last card was again used an A6 card, but his time it was a tent fold card. We then simply took three corresponding pages from teh pad and pinched the edges with different border punches. These were then layer up so you could see the borders at the bottom. The main panel was die cut with a ne set of dies from CartUs. The message was stamped and then we used double sided sticky peel offs and foils to give the bumble bee image. This was a bit fiddly but well worth it.
Some ribbon tied around the top and the card was done :)

I really enjoyed this workshop and it was lovely to see friends old and new. It has also got my mojo back up and running! I am off to dig out some of my other First Edition Pads to have a play :)

Another Cute Birthday Card

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you another card featuring the little girl with a birthday cake.

Again I have used a 6" square card blank.
The backing papers are from the First Edition Pad Summer Breeze. I have used a pink paper with brown flowers and white stripes which is glittered. The image is from Dawn's Stamps. It was stamped with black Memento ink and coloured with my Promarkers. This was then dies cut using Nesties Labels 23. I then die cut another Labels 23 in brown the next size up. I wrapped some brown spotty ribbon aroung tha backing paper and tied a knot to the right hand side.
I layered a heart shaped doily under teh image at the top left.
The sentiment is by Lili of the Valley stamped in brown Brilliance and die cut with nesties scalloped circles die.

I hope you like this second take on the stamp.

More Tatty Ted

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you a couple of cards which I have made up using Tatty Ted Decoupage. These are from the decoupage which I cut out and made up in the autumn!

This second card is also a 7x5" card, can you see a theme with the sizes? The backing papers are from Lili of the Valley Promises paper pad. Again the frame is die cut from Silver Mirri card using the Marriane Oval Dies.

Good Morning

Good morning,

I hope the snow is not too bad where you are. Stay in and craft seems like to order of the day.

Today I would like to share with you two cards I have made using some Forever Friends die cut decoupage.
Both cards are made from a 7x5" card blank.

The first one is ideal for a female birthday or even Mothers Day.

This first one was matted onto Pink cardstock which had been die cut using the Marriane Ovals die. Before I took the die cut out of the die, I inked through it with Distress Ink in Fired Brick first. I the matted the decoupages image onto the die cut and then onto spotty paper which I inked the edged with the fired brick as with the edge of the cardstock.

This second card is more for the Man in your life.

Again this is a 7x5" card blank. The stripy paper was from my stash. This time is used Blue Bazzill cardstock in the Marianne Die. This was cut with my Big Shot. I decided not to ink threough the die on this one as the embossing was very deep, however it doesn't show up very well on a photo :(

Ooops where did that week go!

Hello there

Today I would like to share with you a couple of cards I made up yesterday. They are using Tatty Ted Decoupage. I made the decoupage toppers up in the autumn, but then they got hidden under the Christmas stuff.

This first card is an A5 card blank. The papers are so old I forget who they are made by, Oops. Tatty Ted was die cut and decoupaged, this was matted onto Pink Bazzil card which had been die cut using scalloped Oval nesties. The flourish in the top left corner is one of the new D-lite nesties, Fantastic Flourish 2.

The second card was also an A5 card blank, backing paper from the same sheet as before. The flourish in the top right hand corner was again pink Bazzill and was D-lite Fantastic Flourish 3.

Happy New Year !

Happy New Year To all

Hope you all had a good Christmas and are all settled in the new year.

I am hoping to get back into this blogging lark at least 2/3 times a week :)

Today I would like to share with you a card i made for my son's birthday back at the end of November.

How come, even though I know when his birthday was, it kinda crept up on me and I ended up making this at 10pm the night before ???
I was made from a 6x6 square card. The image is a Lili of the Valley Die cut which was matted onto the same colour card as the card blank. All the corners were punched with my 'lips' punch (some people say 'arse' punch!). The green shimmer card was also treated with this punch as was the sentiment.

I hope you like this card and it does go to show that sometimes I guess less really is more :)
