Another Candle

Good Morning

Today I want to share with you another candle I have decorated, I am really enjoying these at the moment.

This is one of the side views of the candle.
This time I used the image Love Balloon from Lili of the Valley
Coloured in with Promarkers.

The flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid and The Stamp Pad.
I'm a sucker for pretty flowers of all shapes and sizes.

Again I then used a pearly paint pen to draw small dots on the candle as decoration.
Now I just need to make some boxes to put them in.

Thanks for stopping by.

A Card from Me

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you a card I have made.

This is a 6x6" card blank cut from a sheet of Bazzill cardstock.
This was a quick card to make.
The image is from a die cut topper sheet from Lili of the Valley.
The papers are from First Edition Paper Pad - Boho Chic.
The layers are matted on the the rest of the Bazzill cardstock.
I found this made the whole card work together.

A Photo Display

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you an 'Off the Page' project. The was a photo display I made up and decorated for my Sister in Law for her Christmas Present last year! She did get it on time and has now put photos on it :)

The whole project was a Kaisercraft Kit which I bought from The Stamp Pad in Saddleworth.
The whole thing was then painted with a Terracotta acrylic paint.
I then stamped flourishes in Gathered Twigs Distress Ink all over.
The paper was one from my stash, this was double sided so I picked the best bits from both sides.
I hope you like this.

A Candle

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you a candle which I decorated with a stamped image. If you regularly read my blog you will have seen that I did a workshop with this technique at the beginning of the month. This is my first attempt on my own!

The image was stamped onto Tissue Paper and then gently coloured in with Promarkers, you have to be really careful otherwise it can rip very easily. Then I laid the image onto the candle and wrapped with greaseproof paper. This was then gently heated so that the candle wax melted slightly and absorbed the tissue into the candle. Then I set about decorating, this actually took much longer that transferring the image :)

I put some lace around the bottom of the candle, then added some flowers from Wild Orchid and some pearl sprays from my stash. I then decorated the candle with pale pink pearl paint in little 'blobs' randomly around the image.

This is the view from the front.
The image I used was from Lili of the Valley - Baby Christening.
Coloured in with Promarkers.
Lace from my stash.
Flowers fromWild Orchid

A card for Mum

Good Morning

I don't know about you, but with all the cards recently for Dad's for Fathers day I have decided to show a card for Mum's, Just because I can and I don't think I could function with out having my mum at the end of the phone :)

This is a 7x5" card blank.
The image is from Lili of the Valley - Teddy for Mum.
Coloured in with Promarkers.
The backing paper is from the First Edition Pad - Love Letters.
The image was then die cut using a Marianne die,
Inked throught the die with Victoria Velvet Distress Ink.

Quite a simple and straightforward card to make, but I love it :)

Another Man Card

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you another card for a man! This one was made in a workshop held at The Stamp Pad in Saddleworth. This one is more dark and grungy than I would normally make, but that is why I love going to workshops to take me out of my comfort zone!

This is a 6x6" card blank made from black card.
The paper is a bluey grey plain peice which was embossed using a 'bubbles' embossing folder.
The stamped sentiment is from Tim Holtz.
The 'Umberella Man' die was used with black card for the man..
A Tim Holtz 'houses' on the edge dies was used.
The main part of the umberella was done using honeycomb paper.
So this makes the umberella 3D.
