Stepper Card

Good morning

Today I would like to share with you a stepper card I have made. I have made a number of attempts at this type of card before, but never sucessfully managed it. That is until my friend Gwen at The Stamp Pad started selling this amazing die from Presscut. A quick whizz through my eBosser and all the cutting, measuring and scoring is done for you. A-May-Zing. I love it!

This was White A4 card which I cut with the die.
The backing paper is a blue check from my stash.
This was cut with the extra dies which come with the set.
No measuring needed! :)
The topper is from a Lili of the Valley Art Pad.
The sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley.
All were inked around the edges with Distress ink.
The flourish on either side was cut with a memory box die, from green bazzill.
The corner flourish was cut from a die which was free with a magazine!
The three flowers are from Prima.

Wedding time again!

Good Morning

Well its that time of year when there are lots of weddings around.
I have used another HunkyDory kit for both of these two cards.

This first card is a boxed invertage card.
The images are cut away and you are looking into the box.
I have glittered  this also, however it doesn't show very well on the photo.

The second card was made using a 7x5" card blank.
The waste, cut away, sections of the above card.
These were layered up as a pyramage card.
The papers are from Lili of the Valley paper pad.
A sentiment in the top left hand corner.
Three pink gems in the top right and bottom left finish the card.

Another Sentiment Card

Good morning

Today I woud like to share with you another card with just a sentiment on it. This came about by playing with off cuts of paper, which had been used on other cards!

Again this is a 6x6" card base.
The papers are from Lili of the Valley.
The sentiment is also from Lili of the Valley.
Theis was stamped with Purple Distress Ink.
Die cut using a Marianne Die.
The edges of the papers were distressed with a pair of scissors,
then inked with the distress ink.
I then used silver nailheads in the corners.

Pins & Needles

Good morning

Today I would like to share with you two cards I have made recently using some fabby Hobby House toppers and backing cards.

Both cards are made with a 6x6" card blank.
The topper pack is called Needles and Pins, from Hobby House
On both of these cards I have matthed the topper and card onto Green Bazzill cardstock.
I used my Perfect Layers tool to get the mats right.
Then I used Candy Dots in each corner.
I felt that the toopers looked a bit Stark, so I stamped around the edges.

The toppers and backing card were bought from The Stamp Pad in Greenfield.

I am trying to make cards two at a time at the moment, as I have the cordinating papers and things on my desk. Well, thats the theory :)

No Focal Image

Good morning

Today I would like to share with you a card I have made which uses NO focal image. By that I mean, no Topper or picture.

This is so far away from my normal comfort zone. I have looked back over the cards I have made over the last few years and think this may be the first!

The card is made using a 6x6" card blank.
The papers are from Lili of the Valley, Timeless Victorian.
The sentiment is also Lili of the Valley.
The die cut is from a Marianne Die.
The flowers are from Prima.
The large Flourish is a Memory Box Die.
The corner was a free die from a magazine (forgotton which).
The papers were edged with Milled lavender distress ink, as was the die.

Cutie Pie Challenge

Good Morning

Today I would like to share with you a card I have made for the Cutie Pie Challenge Blog.

The theme this month is Cute and using Buttons.

This is a 6x6" card blank.
The papers are from DoCrafts Wellington Paper paack.
All matted onto Navy blue Bazzill cardstock.
The topper is from The Hobby House.
Buttons from Do Crafts.
The die cut is by Little Darlings, Film Die.
The 'waste' from the die cut was trimmed to mat on top of the topper.

While I had the papers on my desk I also made this card.
Agan it is a 6x6" card blank.
Papers from the Wellington Paper Pack.
This time, instead of matting the papers, I edged them with a Brown Promarker.
Four little gems in the corners of the card and the topper.

I really enjoyed this challenge, and making the cards for little boys. Not my usual comfort zone :)

Hunkydory

Hello there

Today I would like to share withyouy a couple of Hunkydory Wedding Cards. When I went to the Great British Craft Festival in Bolton, every visitor was given a Goody Bag. In the Goody Bag was a couplke of kits from Hunkydory. Now these are not something which I normally buy, but I'm not one to turn down a freebie.

This first card is an Invertage Card.
This is the opposite to a traditional pyramage card, in that you look into the card.

With the bits which came out of the Invertage card, I made this more
traditional pyramage card.
I added a sentiment and some gems, top left and bottom right.

So as you can see, even using a kit you can always come up with something else.

MDF

Hello There

Recently I went to the Great British Craft Festival with two friends. While there we decided to do a free 'Make and Take' with the MDF Man.
This is the picture frame we made.

We used a 6" square MDF with a heart appature.
The frame and backing were painted with a Mushroom paint.
The papers were from House of Zandra.
The butterflys were cut from the same paper and moulded before sticking on.
The flourish was done using gathered twigs Distress Ink though a stencil.
Then I added a few clear gems on the flowers.

This was a fairly quick  and cute project. I didn't glue mine all the way round, so  I can slide a photo in at a later point in time.

Long time, no post

Well hello there.

I have been very remiss in not posting lately. Life just seems to have gotten in the way. As well as not having much time to craft, when I have had the time, I haven't had much inclination.
I have also had problems with my PC. It was still running on Windows XP and so slow, it could take up to an hour to write a blog post and add a photo! I now have a nice new computer which is super fast, it is taking some getting used to!

Hopefully my crafting mojo has returned, not to disappear.

Today I would like to share with you two wedding cards.

They are both 8x8" scalloped card blanks
The papers are from Lili of the Valley.
The Stamp is Wedding Couple by Lili of the Valley.
Coloured in with my Promarkers.
Die cut with Spellbinders Fleur De Lis rectangles.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
The lace is from Gwen at The Stamp Pad.

As you can see, all I have changed is the colour schemes and the cards look very different. My aim when crafting at the moment is, if I have to make a card (like a wedding card) I am going to try to make two. Because I haven't crafted for a while, I am running low on cards! !

I am also going to try to make a Christmas Card on the 25th of each month, and then replicate it 10 times! Well that is the plan :)

Thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all comments you may have on my creations.
