Another project

Hello there

Well here is a quick project which we did on the Crafty weekend.
First of all we took a kraft brown paper bag and inked the edges with  brown distress ink pad. Then we took 2 pieces of patterned paper about 3-4 inches deep and the width of the bag. Again these were inked and then attached to the bag, back and front.

Then with a contrasting piece of paper, we punched a decorative edge and then attached them top and bottom of our patterned paper.

Then we decorated it with Chipboard flowers, a border sticker and some other stickers from the range. We then added a blue spotted ribbon bow (Note to self, not a good idea to try this when I have had a glass of wine!). Attached a tag to the top of the bag, and a knotted piece of ribbon (Gave up on the bow this time!).
And there you have it, a lovely gift bag to give someone special a present in.

The papers used were from Basic Grey's Picaddilly Range, and Gwen at The Stamp Pad has the range of papers and some, if not all of the embellishments in.

Welcome

Hi there

Sorry I have been awol for a while. I have been very busy with a fabby craft retreat and looking after poorly hubby and sons.

Well as the name suggests, WELCOME!
This fantastic project was done at the retreat organised by the fabby Gwen from The Stamp Pad. It started life as a wooden word. We then primed it with Gesso and then coloured it. I used buttermilk paint. Then we tore some gorgeous serviettes up and stuck them onto the word with Matte Medium.

This also gave a protective coating over the top as well. I then inked the edges to match with my colour scheme added a painted wooden butterfly.
I hope you like my home decor project as much as I enjoyed making it.

Happy Crafting

First Edition Paper Packs

Hi there

Today I want to show you a card I made from the First Edition Paper Pad 'Isabelle.'
This is square 6x6" card. There is a square piece of the patterned paper which is pale pink with white flowers on. Onto this is matted a rectangle of the geometric paper and a rectangle of the reverse of the backing paper,  white with pink flowers on. To cover the join is some gorgeous ribbon in white cream and pink. Then the bird and leaf and flowers were added from a packet of 3d embellishments. The 'Just Because' is from a Craftwork Cards set mounted onto a nestability circle. This card is one of three made on a recent workshop at The Stamp Pad in Saddleworth.

I hope you like this card, I will try and show you another one tomorrow.
