More Christmas

I thought I would share with you a couple of Christmas cards, yes I know Christmas again, but I have to make lots :).

This first card is much better in real life. The main panel is some vellum which was die cut and embossed using a Marianne Designables folder. These are great as they cut and emboss in one go. This was then backed onto Blue glitter paper and attached with brads. The Christmas sentiment was from a Stampendous stamp set, this was inked in blue and then die cut with Nesties Labels 22. Some ribbon and a star finish this off. Fairly quick but stunning in the flesh, so to speak.

This second card is another square blank with some plain christmassy paper as a background. Then 2 'Pine branches' were cut using the Marianne Pine Needles die, one in creamy pearl card and another in green velvet paper. Then we die cut a large scalloped oval nestie out of green velvet paper. This was then stamped with the message and then heat embossed. This does take a little while but the effects are stunning. A few little gems on the oval finish this off and a charm dangling from the bow on the pine branches.

Inside the Box

Today I would like to show the book we made to go inside the box. This is the front cover.

All the papers on this book are from Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium range. 

The first pages with a lift up flap on the left and a double tag in the pocket on the right hand side.

Then on the next pages a small fold out mini book on the left and another tag pocket on the right.

The last set of pages show tags and tickets on the left and another pocket to put more pictures in on the right.

Finally the back cover.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this project as much as I enjoyed making it.

A Box !

I would like to share with you a box we altered on the Crafty Weekend with the girls from The Stamp Pad.

This is the front of the box. It is covered with Graphic 45 Christmas paper. In the top window is a scene cut from the paper. The bottom window just has acetate in so you can see through to the inside.

This shows the back of the front cover. The right hand side is covered with a gorgeous red patterned print paper from the same range. The die cut tag was trimmed and then I cut around the holly leaves on the tag so they popped out of the frame. This was very time consuming but really does make a difference.

This is the outside of the box. I am loving the door knob/bookplate on this. It gives is a really weighty feel and is so tactile.

More Christmas

Hello

Here are two more Christmas cards I have made using Mo Manning die cut sheets. The white die cuts looked far too harsh on these cards so I inked them gently with Forest Moss Distress ink and then stamped snowflakes over the edges using Forest Moss, using first and second impressions.

I love this image ( although the original is not as blurred as mine! It's late, please forgive the shaky camera.) This reminds me of my little boy, always wanting more! The paper is from the Wassail range. Some green satin ribbon and some red flowers and a few green punched sprigs finish this off nicely.

This image is a such a good impression of the joy on Christmas morning with a stocking full of goodies.Again the die cut was inked and stamped with a snowflake. Some more Wassail paper and this time a poinsetta popped in the bottom right hand corner.

Craftwork Cards

Today I am going to share with you a couple of cards made using the new Craftwork Cards Shabby Vintage paper range.

 This first one is a DL Landscape card. The papers are fabby in this range, there are blues and beiges. All the edges were inked with distress inks and then some ribbon threaded through a ribbon slider.

 This card is made using the Petrol blue papers. This was again inked with Broken China distress ink. As was the tag and the papers used on the tag. A sentiment and another ribbon slider were used on this. One of the Craftwork flowers were cut out and shaped and added to the tag, with a button for the center.

This card had the beige paper embossed with a 'budding vine' embossing folder and then the inkpad was swiped across the top to highlight the embossed  detail. A strip of paper was added to the bottom of the paper. The embossed dots on the card blank were also gently coloured with distress inks. Three 2x2" squares were cut out and attached to the top of the card. The 2 outer squares had buttons attached and the central square had a flower attached with a button for the center.

I hope you have all had a good weekend and enjoyed the gorgeous weather we have been having. Today I would like to share with you another of the projects I made during the crafting weekend run by Gwen at  The Stamp Pad.

This was a circular box which we decorated with papers from Graphic 45 Curtail Call range. Althought these papers are not ones I would normally have picked up to use. I really enjoyed this project. The top of the box was covered with a circle of paper. The large Curtain Call ticket was cut out and used as a pocket to put things into. I put a tag and an envelope into this. The rosette on the right hand side was made using the Tim Holtz die cut. The was then put together with a great big brad in the middle.

The edges of all the papers and the box were edged in Walnut Distress Ink. The edge of the top of the box was covered with some of the ticket paper. 

We then covered all the box with another sheet of the paper. Then this was decorated with some of the paper cut up. A few tickets and some film reels.

I haven't decided what to use this box for yet, keep changing my mind. So I am open to offers!

A Peek Inside

Today I would like to show you inside the goodie bag which all the crafter's received on my recent crafty retreat. The retreat was held at 'The Huntsman' high up on the Saddleworth Moors, this has amazing views and some stunning scenery.

This was the box which was waiting for us on the Saturday afternoon, just after lunch.

This is the goodies inside. An 8x8" 7Gypsies Mykonos double sided paper pad. Basic Grey buttons and Rub Ons. Making Memories Metal Numbers, brads, epoxy metal shapes, 3d stickers and a MM Poolside journaling pad. There was also a card of 7 Gypsies seam binding, which we used on the weekend.

There was lots of goodies to be played with.
