Wedding Cards

Today I would like to share with you 2 wedding cards I made over the summer months.

They were for two brides who were related so neither card could be 'better' than the other :)

Both cards were made on an 8 x 8" scalloped card base. Both used a SWALK stamped image. The image was coloured in using promarkers.

I then personalised the cards using the individual colour schemes for each wedding.

I then added flowers, leaves and ribbons.

I hope you like these two cards. As always I appreciate your comments.

Thank you

SWALK

Sealed with a Loving Kiss.

I am loving this range of images. They are so cute and are great for colouring in with my promarkers.
This image was coloured, and then die cut with Nesties Labels 18 on my Big Shot, as was the blue bazzill cardstock mat. The background papers are from DCWV Far East Stack. The flowers are 2 coordinating prima flowers, stickled on the edges and held in place with a large blue gem brad. A metallic green flourish, die cut with a Marianne die and then 6 Basic Grey Blue Pearls top right and bottom left finish off the card.

I am not too sure on this card and would appreciate any comments on it.

Thanks

Crafters Companion

Hi there

I just wanted to share with you me card for the Crafters Companion challenge. The theme was Glitter and Glitz.
This is an easel card for my sister-in-law's birthday. The image is from Crafters Companion SWALK range. The background paper is purple spotty from Henbury Lane, the spot are glittered. There is also glitter on her hat, bag and pearls, but it doesn't show up very well on the picture :( The image was die cut with Nesties, Labels 17 and matted onto purple cardstock. On the stopper bar I have layered up 2 prima flowers, held together with a pink brad.

Alcohol !

Hi there

This is to show you some things I have done using Alcohol Inks. Yep, I too thought that alcohol was just for drinking after a bad day at work ! :)
I cut a sheet of A4 acetate down to A6, The I went to town on it using Terracotta, Raisin and wild plum, with a little mettallic gold for good measure. I had just been playing with my Alcohol inks and had this background sheet for a few days wondering what to do with it.

The card is a Craftwork Cards bracket edge card blank, with the bracket bit folded back on itself. I then stuck the acetate under the folded bit and worked out where my topper would be before sticking under there as well.
The stamped image is a Crafters Companion SWALK, coloured with promarkers. This has been die cut with Nesties labels 4 die, cut in my Big Shot, and inked with tattered rose distress inks. The green flourishes were die cut from green bazzill bling using 2 Marrianne Dies. The flowers are from Prima held in place with a faux gem brad.
The backing paper on the inside is just some pale pink paper I have had for a while (you can probably read that as years  ) I punched the edge with an EKSuccess punch and then added 2 more Marrianne flourishes. The blue pearls on the topper were from a Pearl pen which you can squeeze out aas much or a little as you need. The flower on the card was also done with a Lilac pearl pen.

All the products used to make this card were bought from The Stamp Pad in Saddleworth.

Edit :- My hubby has just asked me if there is any techniques I havent used on this card. How Rude! !

Nestie playing

Hi There
I have been playing with my nesties and trying to have a go at getting some of my image outside the bulk of the die.
Not quite mastered it yet, but getting close. Here are my first two attempts.
This one has been donw using Nesties Labels 10 die.The image is from Crafters Companions SWALK, coloured in with my promarkers.

Same image, this time cut with Nestis mega curved rectangles. Still need to work out the finer details but will have another go at the weekend. I guess they are not too bad for a first attempt. But definately need more practice.

SWALK

Hi there

Today I have been playing with my SWALK stamps and my nesties! No surprise there!
This card is a 6x6" scalloped edge card. The backing paper is from a paper pack in the Fizzy Moon range. I Love this range! The stamp is 'Best Friends' coloured with promarkers. Die cut with Nesties Labels 5, pale lilac cardstock, again cut with Nesties Labels 5. Two strips of purple cardstock layered onto the card and then a flower covering the join. A little bit of bling top right and bottom left.
Again this is the 'Best Friends' stamp, coloured with promarkers. This time die cut with Nesties Eyelet Circle.
For a change I cut my background paper and matted onto purple cardstock, but put it on in a geometric pattern. I find this is a great way of using up the pieces of paper left over when you cut an 8x8 sheet up. The image was stuck on with foam pads and the obligatory bling in two of the corners!
Forgot to say the paper is glittered as well ! ! I also just edged the cardstock on this one lightly with Milled Lavender Distress inks.

Waltzing Mouse 51

Hi There

This is my entry for the Waltzing Mouse sketch #51.This is the original sketch which I worked from.
WMSC51
This is my take on the sketch. I used some pink Blonde Moments paper, Green BoBunny paper. The Blooming Wondeful stamp from SWALK, die cut with nesties labels 4. Coloured with promarkers and inked with Tattred Rose distress inks. A round sentiment which had been stamped and inked (not sure which manufacturer it is from I received a bag of these as a gift ;) ) A pink pink spotty ribbon bow and two buttons finish it off.

Hope you enjoy my version of the sketch. I love to read your comments.

Niece's Birthday

Hi There

Well after not crafting for a week or so, I had all day yesterday to watch QVC's craft day and craft. So why did I feel rotten and go to bed for 2 hours in the afternoon????
Got up and had something to eat, then went to play for an hour or so.

This is the card I made for my niece's birthday. The backing papers are from Kars Xmas stack, they were green and ivory, but a quick wipe over with Tattered Rose distress ink and they changed colour to just what I wanted! The SWALK image was again coloured in with my Promarkers and die cut with my Big Shot using Nesties Labels 1. The backing die sut was not quick the right shade of pale pink so I again changed it with my distress inks. Can you tell I like them! Some pale pink ribbon around the spine and a really cute card for a fab niece.
Apart from the stamped image all my goodies were bought from The Stamp Pad in Saddleworth.
